I’ll miss bumping into you in town, Bryan. You always had that kind, knowing look that said more than words ever could. Without saying much, I think we both recognised how much we missed Holly, and somehow found comfort in that shared silence. You carried her memory with grace and warmth, and every time I saw you, it reminded me of her too. Rest well, Bryan—you were a good man, and it was a privilege to have known you.
Mr John Tibbott
We always fell out over 'politics' but were friends for many years, Sheila was the same age as me and in the same 'Thrush House' and form at NAGS from the age of eleven. Bryan and I had many lunches together over the years and he came over to our house on a number of Boxing Days. When Sheila was alive the four of us including my wife enjoyed great meals out and a couple of lovely trips abroad to Porto and Granada. Life was cruel to him. Without question years ago he was by far the funniest guy in the group and we would often try to encourage him in becoming a stand up comedian! He was that good. Losing Holly and Sheila in such a cruel way 'knocked the stuffing out of him' but his dry sense of humour never left him. I am sure that he has now found peace.
